Tenix delivers first-class safety performance during construction of the turnkey Wastewater Treatment Plant in Apia, Samoa.

Tenix recently completed the design and construct of a centralised wastewater treatment plant for Samoa Water Authority. During this project, Tenix achieved zero lost-time injuries throughout the 18-month construction period.

To recognise the team's exceptional safety performance each member including subcontractors received a comprehensive first aid kit and certificate.

The treatment plant is based on Sequence Batch Reactor technology, providing a robust and reliable treatment process. This multi-disciplined project replaced a substantial number of existing septic tanks to provide the Apia community with a more efficient wastewater treatment process.  In addition, Tenix designed the plant to allow for capacity expansion to accommodate future regional growth.

In recognition of this great project outcome, Samoa Water Authority engaged Tenix to supply and install a sludge belt press. The sludge belt press provides a cost effective solution to sludge disposal; by concentrating the sludge, the off-site disposal required was reduced tenfold.

Samoa Water Authority CEO Ti'nau M.F.T. Titimaea says "Tenix made a point of engaging local Samoan contractors for many packages of work. They demonstrated their community spirit to up-skill local Samoans and leave a positive legacy in the Apia community".

"We thank Tenix for a job well done".
