Relief for Frustrated Taupo Moteliers and Retailers
In August 2009 Tenix Robt Stone began construction of an arched single spanned road bridge that will alleviate traffic congestion in Taupo. The project involves the supply, fabrication and installation including shop drawings, intrumescent fire protection painting, transportation and assembly onsite.
The 100m long by 20m wide, single-arched, dual- carriage road deck bridge will have 25m approaches on both sides. It is part of a 16km by-pass around Taupo township.
To preserve the surrounding environment during installation, Tenix Robt Stone is fabricating the base of the bridge in our 3,800m2 New Plymouth workshop and using cranes to transport it across the river.
