Tenix Wins Project to Construct LPG Bullet Construction
March 17, 2010

Tenix was recently awarded a contract to fabricate and deliver four mounded pressure vessel bullets for Transfield Worley Services Ltd. The pressure vessels are for a new Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Recovery, Storage and Load-out project at Todd Energy's McKee Oilfield Production site in Taranaki. The project will enable more LPG stock and exports.

The LPG bullets will be shop-fabricated in carbon steel and painted by Tenix before being delivered to site where they will be installed below ground. The 80 tonne bullets will be 25 metres long by 3.6 metres wide.

Pressure vessels are a characteristic product manufactured by Tenix and the dimensions of the four vessels make this project the largest of its kind in New Zealand this year.

Tenix provides end-to-end services to owners of electricity, gas, water, and other network, infrastructure and industrial assets and its operations span Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. The company offers engineering design, project and program management, construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation of utility and industrial assets.
