Tenix Alliance is a leading independent provider of power asset services to utility, mining and other infrastructure asset owners. We are currently delivering three of the largest term contracts in Australasia.

We offer turnkey solutions that include design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, maintenance and operation across electricity transmission and distribution assets.



Operating in both greenfield and brownfield environments, we offer specialist expertise in the construction and operation of transmission and zone substations and switchyards as well as sub transmission and distribution networks. As part of this we have constructed fifty major substations in the last three years. We also offer HV and EHV testing and commissioning, electrical engineering and SCADA, telemetry and process control services.

Current and recent projects

ElectraNet Dual Contractor Agreement (2006 - 2011), South Australia
For ElectraNet - South Australia's electricity transmission system owner

Our role: The delivery of ElectraNet's Regulated Capital Works Program. Under the arrangement, ElectraNet has outsourced delivery of its works program to two principal partners, of which Tenix Alliance is one.

Outcome: The projects delivered by Tenix Alliance have been on-time, to budget and of high quality. One of the substations has been recognised for natural resource management by the South Australian Government as part of the 2007 Rural Landholder Awards. The partnership has also served to increase the pool of available labour-in-training, both apprentices and trainees.

 

T-squared Alliance (2000 - 2008), Victoria
For SP AusNet - Major Victorian electricity and gas distributor

Our role: Design, asset and maintenance management, vegetation management, overhead, underground line and zone substation construction and maintenance, new connections, public lighting maintenance and 24/7 faults and emergency management and rectification.

Outcome: Over the life of t-squared the performance for electricity has varied from 104-107% with the 2006/07 financial year achieving a best ever result of 109.5%.

 

Powerco Alliance (Ongoing), New Zealand
For Powerco - New Zealand's second largest electricity and gas distributor

Our role: Tenix Alliance New Zealand entered into an evergreen Alliance agreement with Powerco Limited to provide design, construction and maintenance services for its electricity and gas distribution networks serving New Zealand's North Island.

Outcome: Tenix Alliance achieved Improved utilisation (labour utilisation has improved from 60% to 92%); excellent works program delivery (100% of works program delivered in first year of Tenix Alliance management -versus 75% prior to alliance formation) and provided complete transparency on cost to serve (Powerco has a full and open book view and is able to influence how actual costs are determined).
